What's Inside the Best and Most Comfortable Mattresses in the World?

Have you ever stopped and wondered what is inside your mattress? After all, we entrust one-third of our lives to what we sleep on. For most people, the awareness of what they sleep on extends to knowing whether it's a foam mattress or a sprung mattress. Casually mention that they could be sleeping on a mattress filled with cashmere, lambs wool, mohair or Angora goat hair and you may get some very strange looks.

For top mattress and bed manufacturers such as Hypnos and Relyon who respectively claim to make the most comfortable and best beds in the world, the carefully selected fillings, proportionately balanced with the highest standards of pocket-springing, ensure that their seemingly preposterous claims have never been successfully challenged. The combination of deep passion, hard-earned skill, and painstaking craftsmanship in every product is a metaphoric reflection of the right combination of sumptuous upholstery, robust and carefully tempered pocket-springing, and the selection of the most appropriate natural and, when Nature rarely fails, synthetic fillings.

Fillings are chosen for their resilience, durability, flexibility and ability to dissipate body moisture and can be natural, synthetic, or a combination of both.

At the less expensive end of the scale, mattress upholstery comprises layers of prefabricated synthetic pads. At the highest end of the quality-scale we find hand-selected all-natural fillings lovingly hand-teased into place before ending up in the beds of luxury hotels, palaces, homes and other prestigious establishments all around the world.

Even in some of the most comfortable and best mattresses in the World, different types of synthetic fillings and layers may be found. Various kinds of foam, synthetic latex (as opposed to natural Talaly latex), polyester, and synthetic fibre all have their uses to plump out and soften the feel of a mattress. With such products, however, may give rise to or exacerbate heat-retention, chemical odours and other detri women's jackets mental side-effects. One or two are, however, desirable. For example, Amicor Pure? is a combination of anti-bacterial fibre and anti-fungal fibre, exclusive to Relyon beds but copied in others, interwoven either with the ticking or the layer immediately below it. It is designed to prevent the growth of bacteria and dust mites through the removal of the fungi which support their environment. It's a remarkably effective way of combatting what many argue to be the primary source of allergens in beds and mattresses.' something which Mother Nature has yet to match.

To more wholesome matters. Let's take a closer look at some of the natural fillings found in the best mattresses.

Cashmere is historically regarded as the softest of natural hair, coming in a variety of forms. Some say it also has very high heat retention properties (viz its evolution in the cashmere goats' natural habitat and its human popularity in such products as winter warmers and "long-johns"). In mattresses cashmere hair is teased out to form a fine upholstery insulation layer that is soft and warm to lie on. Silk is often combined with cashmere to add strength and resilience to the layer.

Lambswool is another sumptuous element that is primarily used for its soft, luxurious feel. It's a natural insulator, so much so that it helps to keep one warm in winter but feel cooler in summer. It's also excellent at aiding moisture control, as the air trapped in it allows body moisture to evaporate more easily. The highly sought after Merino lambswool is used in some mattresses and is considered by many to be the finest wool available.

Consider the fineness of gauze, the softness of flannelette, the absorbency of terry towelling, the coolness of seersucker and the strength of sailcloth. Such versatility fully explains why cotton is a very popular choice of natural mattress filling. No more need we add!

Picture an Angora goat fast asleep whilst perched precariously on some high and windy rocky outcrop. How does it stay comfortable? The answer lies in its coat of very long soft and silky mohair which provides a resilient cushion twixt rock and skin. In your mattress, it provides a similar durable and sumptuously resilient cushion between the springs and your body, and helps prevent "settlement" of the fillings through continuous use.

Another similarly resilient ingredient is horse hair. Its springiness lasts for so long that it was quite traditional for some families to pass horse-hair mattresses down through generations, simply renewing the "tick" from time to time. The remarkable properties of this amazing product are illustrated in its cost and use in some of the World's finest white horse hair violin bows.

The features of all these fabulous fillings combine to benefit and enhance the quality of your sleep. High quality sleep, of course, enhances your quality of life and, according to current medical research, has major health benefits, too, including some say, improving your memory. The paradox is that by day you may only remember the oblivion of blissful sleep, night after night after night. And the next time you hear the question "what's in a mattress?" you'll know that deep inside the very best and most comfortable ones there's a very large layer of well-being and joie de vivre!

Finding Men's Suits That Fit: Demystifying Men's Suit Measurements

Whether purchasing a mens suit at a department store or online, it is always critical to get correct fitment and measurements. You might be wondering which terms related to mens suit measurements you'll need to be familiar with in getting sized and measured for a mens suit. Suit measurements should be taken by a tailor either at a store or wherever a customer is able to locate a tailor. In a pinch, you can have a friend use a cloth tape to very carefully measure some of the suit measurements listed below. However, it is usually better to have your mens suit measurements taken by a tailor or a salesperson.

Oftentimes while being measured it may be disconcerting to hear unfamiliar terms such as "40 short" or "32-inch inseam" bandied about, it can be very confusing. Not to worry, we will demystify all these mens suit measurements for you. Following are some conventional suit measurement terms and definitions that you should be familiar with when being fitted for a dress suit.

Commonly Used Mens Suit Measurements:

Chest- Measurement is taken around chest, just under arms, across shoulder blades, with arms relaxed down at the sides. This is usually the number referenced when sizing a suit, i.e. "that gentleman requires a 40R," which is a suit with a 40-inch chest and regular jacket length.

Jacket (or Coat) Length- Measurement from the highest point of the shoulder down. Typically S, R, or L, for Short, Regular, and Long. Short corresponds to a height of 5'5" to 5'7". Regular corresponds to a height of 5'8"-5'10". Long corresponds to a height of 5'11" to 6'2".

Waist- Mens suit measurements that go around the natural waistline which will appear as a crease when bending to the side.

Drop- Suit drop is the difference between the number given in a suit size and the waist size.

Suits in sizes 36-42 subtract 6 for the corresponding waist size.

Suits in sizes 44-46 subtract 5.

Suits in sizes 48+ subtract 4.

For example, a size 40 suit would have a corresponding pants waist size of 40-6=34. These are industry mens suit measurement standards, so typically, waist sizes may need to be increased or decreased to fit.

Height- Measurement from the top of the head down standing barefoot on a hard flat surface with normal posture.

Inseam- Measurement from the inside crotch seam to the hem of well-fitting pants

Neck- Measurement around the fullest part of the neck.

Sleeve- Measurement from the center of the back of the neck, over the point of the shoulder, and down the outside of the arm past the elbow, to the wrist with arm relaxed at the side.

Breaks and Cuffs- Mens suit measurements for pants.

Full Break- Pants are hemmed to hit the top of the shoes' heels, the front of the hem breaks over the shoes naturally. This is a trendier look.

Half Break- Pants are hemmed to reach approximately halfway down the backs of the shoes. This is a pretty typical choice.

No Break- The hem ends right before the shoes, with a bit of sock showing. This is a casual look.

Other Mens Suit Measurements:

Wrist- Measurement taken ar women's coats online ound the fullest part of the wrist.

Hip/Seat- A pants measurement around the fullest part of the hips and buttocks.

Thigh- A mens suit measurement around the thigh at its widest point.

Knee- Measurement around the knee at its widest point.

Important Notes on Mens Suit Measurements

The actual chest measurement of a mens dress suit is typically 2 inches greater than the size of the suit to allow room for adequate range of movement.

European mens suit measurements are typically 10 greater than US sizes. A size 48 European is equivalent to a size 38 US.

There are limits to how much a tailor can add or subtract from pants. Typically, slacks are not able to be let out past 2 inches. On the other hand, if slacks must be taken in past 2 inches, a tailor will likely charge more to remove material for better fitment.

Pant bottoms usually come unfinished and unhemmed, it is best to check to make sure whether pants are already hemmed when purchased or if a professional tailor will be altering the length for you.

A measuring tape should be held flat against the body, snug, and not droopy, but not restrictive.

Mens suit measurements should be taken to the nearest quarter (.25) inch.

Mens suit measurements do not need to be daunting, in fact, armed with the information in this article, you should feel more than confident when getting sized for a dress suit or trying to find a mens suit that fits well.

Necktie Alternatives

As a piece in formal men's fashion, the necktie is unassailable. There will come a day, however, when you'll want to somehow stand out and look your individualistic best. On that day, you'll want to give your necktie the whole women's jackets day off and leave the house wearing something a little more daring, a little more dandyish. On that day, you'll want to try one of the necktie free style options below.

No Tie
It's generally seen as an after office fashion statement to take off your tie and leave your outfit as is. You could, however, rock this style going into the office, especially if your workplace has a relaxed dress code or some concept similar to Casual Fridays.

Stiffer, more prominent collars are required if you want to omit the necktie from the getgo. Aside from being decorative and cool looking, your tie serves to support the collar to keep it looking full. Without the tie there, the collar will most likely lie flat and lifeless. If you don't have the requisite style of shirt, at the very least pick up collar stays that will do the job of keeping your collar up throughout the day.

Going tie-less is also seen as very casual, which is why you'll want to balance it out with other dressier pieces. Instead of just a sport coat, for example, an actual suit jacket, worn as a separate, preferably, should even out the scales. Throwing in a pocket square is yet another gentlemanly touch that keeps you from looking like the resident office schlub.

After that, it's up to the rest of your outfit to go with the more relaxed, tieless vibe. Dark unwashed denims are a great stand-in for your standard office trousers, while loafers over laceups would be the appropriately laidback and comfortable choice.

Ascot
Here's a style challenge for the man who will eschew the necktie for 24 hours. Ascots fall into the same category of neckwear but take considerably more confidence and panache to pull off successfully. Its Swinging Sixties vogue and childish suggestions of Scooby Doo, however, can be overcome with the right outfit and an accompanying confidence.

Ascots are a lot like neckties in that both are lengths of fabric with tapered ends. They're also similar because of the way they're tied and styled around any outfit. The standard ascot is tied much like your usual four in hand for the necktie, except that the knot isn't done as tightly so that the fabric takes a little more space around the neck.

If you're going to wear an ascot for the day, make sure that the rest of your outfit is made of more classic menswear pieces like a navy or gray suit and a simple white shirt. Ascots today have a somewhat negative and emasculating connotation that the rest of your look will have to counteract. Feel free to choose an ascot in some wild, attention-catching color or print (never both), so long as the rest of your outfit is classic and simple.

Bow Tie
If you know your way around your European fashion, you know that the bow tie makes a comeback every now and then. Stateside, though, it still has several bad associations with the likes of PeeWee Herman. Otherwise, it's a great style item that should suitably fill in for your everyday necktie.

Tying a bow tie is one of those crucial skills every man must learn. If you want to make a fashion statement of individuality with a bow tie, you'd better know how to tie it up by yourself. Those slip on or adjustable bow ties, while having some aesthetic value, are best left to ten year olds who need them. If you're old enough to choose and buy your own clothes, you're no longer qualified to use those cheap slip on ties.

Bow ties take up very little real estate, and are a surprising item to wear by themselves. That makes them the perfect way to bring some color into your outfit. A bright or neon colored bow tie adds drama and life to an otherwise blah ensemble. And because bow ties are so small, there's very little risk of overdoing it if you keep your outfit otherwise basic.

Men's Style Guide: Buying and Wearing Raincoats

If you're the kind of practical dresser who fits his fashion to the weather outside, it can be a little difficult when the weather's all gray and undecided. It's chilly outdoors, but the sky shows some potential of sun later in the day. When it's that type of day and a fullon overcoat would be too much and just a suit too little, a raincoat is the ideal go-between. Hardy and versatile, a raincoat is many a business traveler's best friend.

The Raincoat Range
One thing you should know about raincoats is that, like most pieces in men's fashion, they come in a wide range of styles. Regardless of the cut and label, though, you could generally categorize them into the three essential groups that you have to know.

Made popular to the point of ubiquity by fashion label Burberry in the 90's, trench coats are a versatile pieces that go well with both business suits and shirt-and-jeans combos. Khaki and its derivative shades, though, are typically the more acceptable colors if you're wearing a trench to work. Black is reserved for the more fashion-conscious sets.

Trenches can be worn several ways. You could pop up the collar to give extra protection on windy days. You could also choose between closing it up with the belt for really cold conditions, or leaving the front open and doing the belt up in the back on sunnier days.

Macs, meanwhile, are less detailed but are much more universal than the trench thanks to its sheer simplicity. Without excess belts or too many buttons, a mac in black, gray or navy goes with about anything you could throw on underneath it. Although extra buttons, epaulets and other details may come into fashion every now and then, a simple, no-frills mac makes for the best and longest term investment in your closet.

Hooded zip-up rain jackets are for weekends when you steer clear of the office and stick to polo shirts and chinos all day. Unquestionably the most casual of the bunch, a hooded zip jacket works wonders when you want some weather protection without the weight.

As with most men's outerwear, it's always best to keep your zip jackets as simple as you can. Avoid extra pockets when you don't need them. Zippers going all over the place are rarely attractive. And although a classic color like black or navy is obviously the most universal women's coats jacket you could get, a more in-your-face color like yellow or electric blue can work just as well, provided all your base layers are quiet and understated.

Knowing Your Raincoats
Great raincoats start from the choosing at the men's boutique. When you're ready to go buy, be sure to wear your full business outfit to the store. You'll want to make sure that the raincoat you're getting isn't so trim that it can't accommodate all your usual business attire layers under it.

While you're at the store, it's also good to know the right questions to ask. Is the material wrinkle-resistant? Those that are have an advantage because you can easily stow them in a bag. Is the coat waterproof or simply water repellent? The two are different; the latter can still leave you wet in a strong enough downpour and the other gives 100% protection.

Lastly, know when you should wear your raincoat and - more importantly - when you have to leave it at home and swap it with something else. Chilly, sunless days - actual rain optional - are the ideal conditions for raincoats to work their fashionable magic. A snowy day or subzero temperatures, meanwhile, means you have to reach for a heftier overcoat and all the layering pieces, scarves and gloves you can find in your wardrobe.

As far as men's fashion goes, raincoats are some of the most practical, functional pieces out there, and they always make a good investment regardless of the trend or season. And should the weather ever prove uncooperative to your sartorial plans, there's always the option to simply take off your raincoat and use it as an accessory.

Necktie Alternatives

The Correct Equipment And Gear For Fly Fishing

Fly fishing is an old exercise, over the centuries, the fishers and manufacturers have developed a lot of knowledge about the design of fly fishing equipments. This exercise beginning at the time of the Roman Empire, and till now the basics haven't changed. The superior thing to do is to learn about fly fishing equipment and how all of the parts works before a person become one in the quest for catching variety type of fishes.

Using Fly Fishing Equipment

It is very important that you select equ women's coats ipment that is well fit to the particular fishing situation. While a particular fly rod might be used in different or special situations, its' range of applications is very far narrower that a spinning rod. If one really wants to be familiar with about the equipment used for fly they should engage a fishing instructor or guide that is proficient in fly fishing equipment and have them teach the person what they need to know. By the ways, certain parts of the fly fishing equipment can be very costly but it's a needed and part of learning to fly fishing.

More about Fly Fishing Equipment

When you want to try fly fishing for species other than trout, the rod and reel must be heavier but just as important is that the lure will be dissimilar. One can't fish with spinner baits with a fly rod or plastic worms, but in the market there are baits that are sold for specific use with a fly rod. There are many smaller cork top water types of bait. Some look like a frog or other amphibians and aquatic reptiles. The difference between fly fishing lures and regular lures is easy to tell. The fly fishing equipment is a lot lighter than conventional baits. The action of the bait is imitated with the fly rod in a popping manner that will attract fish to the lure.

Following will explore some of equipment options. Although this may look quite basic, but I ensure you will learn something new and interesting.

Choose the Best Gear

With fly-fishing equipment, you have to choose the correct gear with the type of fishing in your mind. In order to do this, you need to study the basic gear that every fly fisherman, whether deep-sea fishing, going out to a local creek, lakes, rivers or streams, it is composed of the following components: the rod, reel, line, and of course the almighty fly.

The Rod

The rod is one of the most unique parts of fly fishing gear. It is longer and more flexible than your normal fishing pole, sometimes more than twice as long as the normal person high. The rods are sold by weight, the weights indicating a rod suitable to use in what type of situation. The higher number weights, its mean the rod is better for heavier game. For instance, a line weight of one to three is suitable to catch small trout. While a 15-weight line, is used for saltwater fishing for larger fishes. The material of the fly fishing gear is usually made of fiberglass or graphite. The graphite is the most common type. It is much lighter than the fiberglass, and it also casts line much better.

The Reel

The reel is used to store the fly fishing line and it has evolved so that mechanical improvements can make it an asset to your fly fishing experience. Now, the reels can help you catch fish more effectively, with drag systems that let you to better catch fish that pull a lot of line during the fighting. One thing you may want to take note is when you plan to go fishing in saltwater, you need to purchase a reel that consists of corrosion-resistant components like titanium or anodized aluminum.

The Line

When purchasing your fly fishing line, you need to consider the weight of your fly line; it must be match that of your rod for the best results. It is important to use the correct weight of fly line when fishing. These fly lines can be basically grouping them into two groups, Floating or Sinking Lines. The Floating Lines also call dry line are used for techniques that are require a top water lure or the fly just below the waters surface. The Sinking Lines are used for techniques that use a wet fly, which goes underneath the surface of the water, like when fishing a nymph or other under water bugs.

The Fly

It is important to use the correct files at the right places. You also need to tailor your flies to the fish that you're trying to catch, whether wet or dry. Some flies, such as streamers, try to imitate and look like the small fish that make up the diets of other fish, while others, like midges and mayflies and attempt to resemble the surface insects that they take their names from. With this information and other pieces of fly fishing gear provided above, if you purchase based on what type of fish you trying to catch, it will definitely increase your successful rate.

A Glorious Pasta Recipe

Crab meat is what comes to my mind when I think of a dish which is luxurious in all terms. You may end up spending a fortune (close to $40 a pound) gulping down a few crab cakes. And once done, you will be left wanting for more.

Cooks on the East and West Coast now have access to great fresh crab meat, and if you can resist eating it straight from the container or tossing it with a little mayonnaise, it can make a full meal. Fresh crab meat makes the pasta sauce so luxurious that no other dish can provide this with so little work.

Recently, I women's jackets found fresh crab meat for less than $20 a pound from Maine. It costs more or less the same if you are looking for crab meat from Maryland. "Jumbo meat" is the more expensive than "claw meat" and "lump lump". Just shop around you'll get some fresh crab meat at some really attractive prices.

If you intend making a pasta dish, you will get the claw meat for $15 a pound. Jumbo lump is a bit more costlier at $25 a pound. If you wish to buy freshly picked Dungeness crab, you can look at the West Coast fish markets where it sells for $25 a pound.

You can also use crab meat packed in tins or containers if you can't get fresh ones. They are often pasteurized and packed in containers and then refrigerated. It costs almost the as fresh meat but it is picking up in terms of popularity with crab meat eaters.

It's a second choice but no a terrible one. The fresh crab meat has some intense flavor which may not found in crabs in containers or pasteurized crab.

It's very easy to cook the crab meat. Here is how you do it:

1) Use crab meat, garlic, olive oil and a chili or two.
2) Turn off the heat when the garlic turns "gold" not brown.
3) As soon as the garlic starts coloring, you can add a cup of cherry tomatoes.
4) Continue cooking till the tomatoes collapse.
5) Just heat the crab meat. Ensure that you are not cooking the crab meat as it is already cooked before picking.

There are lot of pasta shapes which you can use with the crab meat. I have not found the right pasta shape, but it doesn't really matter. Just make sure that you shop for the right crab meat instead.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and salt it. Put oil, garlic, chilies and a pinch of salt in a saucepan large enough to hold cooked pasta and turn heat to medium-low. Cook, shaking pan, until garlic just begins to color; turn off heat.

When water boils, cook pasta. When it is just about done, turn heat under oil back to low and add crab; stir once or twice. Discovering Antique's Value through A Friend's Passion

One of my best pals from University is an architect by profession. His name is John and for the first ten years after college, he made a name for himself in the construction business by integrating his designs to a modular form of housing construction. Basically, he did the IKEA way of designing houses for people at really affordable prices. I think he made a killing with his design and construction firm because he became famous for making modular housing trendy and year after year, he would make designs that were unique, aesthetic, and affordable.

These days he is into deconstructing. Essentially, he buys old antique houses and piece by piece, he deconstructs them and rebuilds them as is in a property owned by him that is now making a mark in his place as a tourist attraction. Contacting him one day, he arranged for us to meet at this place where he would give me a tour.

The first place he brought me was to his workshop and there I saw so many antique items that were from old houses. There were people who were busy dissembling latches, cupboards, doors and cleaning all these items. He showed me to his workstation which had a set of antique door knobs which he started to collect. He showed me some early antique door knobs made of brass and copper. Some of them were tarnished and worn but they showed a sense of character and history in them. He told me that these were antique door knobs he acquired in Wales which at that time exported the biggest brass and copper minerals. Some of these door knobs had welshed insignia on them and resembled some form of shield or coat of arms. He then told me that some of the designs reflected the ancestry of the family living there. He showed me another decorative brass antique door knob which had some Middle Eastern design. This also came from Wales but from a family of shipbuilders who migrated there from Turkey. That design paid homage to their Muslim religion. I was able to see some Antique glass door knobs that were Italian and from the 17th century. He found this particular piece online and had to purchase women's jackets it in a bidding war. It may have cost him a pretty penny but he thinks that this design came from one of the masters of the post renaissance period. He is trying to verify who actually made it.

I left the workshop with a renewed interest for history and a better understanding about the passion of my friend for antique homes.

7 Ways to Keep Your Leather Jacket Looking New

Trends come and go, but classic leather jackets are always in style. In today's uncertain economy, they're also a worthwhile wardrobe investment: unlike synthetics--or even natural fiber jackets--leathers are extremely durable and can offer years of enjoyment. Cared for properly, they'll age gracefully and gain more character with every year. Here are a few tips for keeping your leathers looking as lustrous as the day you bought them.

1. Use Quality Conditioning Creams & Sprays

Many people wonder whether or not they should use leather conditioning products on their jackets. The answer is: it depends which conditioner you use! High-quality creams and sprays contain natural fats and/or oils that help moisturize leather, keeping it lustrous, supple and replenished. However, products that contain mineral oils, silicone, wax or petroleum are best avoided; they're extremely drying and can damage leather over time. Even with quality creams, it's important not to overdo it. Use occasionally and as directed on the bottle. It's also good to test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first.

2. Use Leather Polishes Sparingly

Polishes can be used on special occasions when you want to bring a more glossy finish to your jacket. As with conditioning products, be sure to test the product out on a small area before you treat the entire jacket. Be sure you're buying a quality product though; some polishes contain coloring agents that will brush off on things you come into contact with. Also, be sure not to be over-polish. If you do so too often, your jacket will dry out.

3. Allow Wet Leather to Air-Dry

Leather handles the occasional cloudburst quite well. The material's women's coats natural oils cause water droplet to "bead" on the surface and roll off. That said, it's best to avoid wearing your jacket in an all-out downpour. If your coat does get thoroughly soaked, simply allow it to air-dry naturally, keeping it away from direct heat sources. NEVER drape wet leather over a radiator, or dry it with a blow-drier. When it has dried on its own, you can treat it with a good conditioner (as above) to restore its natural shape, luster and flexibility. If your jacket is suede, you can gently brush it with a suede brush or terry-cloth towel.

4. Treat Stains & Spills with Care

As with most things, prevention is the best measure. Avoid spraying liquids and gels (like perfume or hairspray) on or near your leather jacket. Winter salt is also hard on leather, and you can generally clean it at home by gently sponging with a soft, wet cloth and then air-drying, as above. For larger stains and spills, it's best to take your jacket to a professional leather dry cleaning facility. Avoid regular drycleaners, unless they clearly specify that they offer specialty leather goods servicing. (Note: at-home leather-cleaning products are available, and if you decide to use one, be sure to test it out on an inconspicuous part of your jacket first!)

5. Attend to Minor Repairs

As with cleaning, it's best to leave leather repairs to the experts. However, minor tears along the seams and hem can be mended at home. Just apply rubber cement sparingly and as directed on the tube.

6. "Hang Out" Most Wrinkles

The beauty of leather is that any wrinkles will tend to "hang out" if you leave your jacket on a quality, padded hanger. For stubborn, heavy-duty wrinkles, take the garment to a professional leather cleaner. If you decide to iron the garment at home, set your iron on the rayon setting and be sure to use a pressing cloth over the leather. Iron quickly to avoid overheating, shine or discoloration.

7. Store Properly

When you're not wearing your leather jacket, hang it on a wide or padded hanger to help maintain its shape and drape. Avoid throwing your jacket over a coat hook, as this can cause unseemly warping over time. It's also important to avoid storing your jacket in direct sunlight (as fading can occur). The best place for storage is a room-temperature closet. Never make the mistake of storing leather in covers made of plastic or other non-breathable sheaths. These materials leech moisture, causing brittleness.

Just follow these simple measures, and your leather jacket(s) will bring you years of function and style!

Achieve Better Painting Results with Paint Primer

Paint primer is the base paint that is needed before application of the real paint. Almost all painting jobs require this. Paint primer creates a watertight seals between the two and ensures the paint has a smooth and adhesive surface with which to bond.

Paint primers or undercoat paints are specifically formulated to serve two functions. The first is to cover the previous surface and provide additional protection from the elements, rain, the suns UV, and acids in the air. Paint primers provide a win/win situation for paint stores and their customers. Customers who use a primer win by achieving better painting results. This is a must no matter what is to be painted if you wish the job to turn out correctly.

If you are looking to paint your homes walls then prime the walls with any high quality primer intended for drywall. If any stains or discoloration have appeared in the compound, use a stain killing primer such as Killz. Killz comes in latex water based paint which is perfect for the interior of your home. Water based Latex based Killz is perfect for the interior of your home. You also need to prime the walls to protect the wall area from wallpaper paste damage and to seal the drywall if your plans are to hang wallpaper. Primed surfaces will allow the paper to adhere better and slows the drying time of the adhesive, giving you plenty of time to work and shift the paper.

Drywall primer/sealers may not give a 100% uniform opaque coat (you may see some of the mud lines showing through) but that's okay. If you are planning on painting the walls with darker colors you might consider having the primer tinted a medium grey (no need to tint it with the same pigments as your top coat, grey will actually work better). Drywalls, gypsum boards or sheet rocks come in 1/2 or 5/8 inch thickness and two styles. Grayish color which can be used for all walls, hallway or ceiling and green color which is a waterproof drywalls mostly used in bathrooms and sometimes behind sinks in the kitchens so tile backsplashes can be installed at a later time. When the dry-wallers start taping and mudding it usually should take them about a week or so to complete their job depending on the size of the job and home. After the board is completed and the job is cleaned up and swept you can begin the priming process.

Primers vary depending on the different problems and applications. Though one thing does remain constant - regardless of the primer used, adequate ventilation is always very important. Primers are formulated with a high proportion of binder to help them better adhere to the surface and the next layer of paint. They ensure a good bond and good coverage for the finish layers of paint or wallpaper. Primers are designed to stick better to difficult surfaces so you know you will get the best coverage from your finish paint.

Paint sheen goes from dull too shiny and is not standardized among paint companies. Common paint sheens are flat, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss, and high gloss. Painting is one of those jobs that can go on forever; repair the walls, primer the walls, apply two coats of paint, and then run around fixing all the spots you missed. Maybe you've just bought a new home or are trying to get your current house sale ready, a painting party can help you get this done quickly. Painting ability and reliability are also considerations.

As always just be sure to women's jackets do your homework when trying to find the best contractor for the job. The lowest price is not always the best way to go and if you choose to make your final decision on just that fact, be prepared to be disappointed most of the time.

Choosing Types of Fur Coats, Part Two

There are many fur types available for creating fur coats including mink, rabbit, fox, chinchilla, beaver, and raccoon. Read on to learn more about the types of fur coats created from fox, chinchilla, beaver, and raccoon fur.

Fox
Fox fur, which comes in many natural colors, can be found all around the world. Its long hair and distinctive coloring give these types of fur coats a high fashion look, making them extremely popular, particularly in the United States and Europe. Fox fur is known for its soft and thick undercoat, complete with long, plush hairs. It wears well and regular professional cleaning helps keep the fur fluffy and full.

These types of fur coats can be found in hues such as:

* Red: The North American fox has long, soft, red hair while the European fur is typically flatter and less silky. The best red fox fur comes from Canada and is deeply furred with a silky, sturdy texture.
* Silver: Silver fox fur has long, sleek, and lightweight fur with deep black undertones and white guard hair tips, which give a vision of silver.
* White and Black: This type of fox has an extremely thick undercoat and shorter guard hairs. Its fur is the softest of all foxes and is an exceptionally dense fur.
* Blue: The blue fox's color is largely white with black highlights. Sometimes they will produce nearly white fur, known as the white or shadow fox. This fur is quite soft and thick, making it optimal for dying.

Typically, the best fox fur comes from Finland, with the exception of Red Fox and Grey Fox. Because of its long hair and thickness, these types of fur coats can be rather bulky, and therefore must be designed by a skillful manufacturer. Different types of fox fur have varying thicknesses. Fox fur is also extremely popular as trim on all types of fur coats, as well as cloth and leather clothing and outerwear.

Chinchilla
Although Chinchilla fur does not offer the array of colors that fox or mink do, it is still considered one of the most beautiful furs in existence. These slate blue or silvery coats offer a luxurious look and velvet-like texture that is so soft it can scarcely be felt when touched with a finger tip. This can be attributed to the more than 80 fibers that grow from each follicle. In comparison, other types of fur coats come from animals that produce fur characterized by only one hair per follicle. Chinchilla is beautiful, but keep in mind that its elegance and desirability is matched by its low durability; it is purely a luxury item and not suited for daily wear.

Other Fur Types
There are several other types of fur coats available, such as Sable, Lynx, Fisher women's jackets , Fitch, Beaver, Raccoon, Finn Raccoon, Tanuki and many more. However, rabbit, mink, fox and chinchilla fur are considered to be the most prominent and widely available. Be sure to do the necessary research and fully understand the value of each coat you are considering before making the final purchase. Doing so should make buying a fur coat straightforward and rewarding.

Pelt Origin
You should find on the retail tag of every fur garment, the pelt "origin". This is not where the fur garment was made; this is where the material was produced. It is quite normal to buy a fur coat made in the USA from pelts that originated in Denmark, or a fur jacket that was made in Italy from pelts that came from the USA. Pelt origin is important because it can be a signifier of quality. The highest quality mink in the world comes from the USA. The second, in terms of quality is Denmark, and the third is Finland. Below those are mink from Norway, Sweden, China, Canada, Russia. The best Sable and Lynx in the world comes from Russia, Fox from Finland, Beaver from Canada. It is important to point out that the origin, as a signifier of quality, is only a generalized rule with some exceptions, it is not absolute.

Whether or not pelts come from the wild or ranches is typically not denoted. However, it is interesting to note that the better a fur-bearing animal is cared for, the better the quality its fur will be as a material.

Before shopping the various types for fur coats that are available on the market today, understanding each fur type and its benefits is extremely important. Fur coats and other clothing materials are expensive wardrobe investments and educating yourself before purchasing is the only way to be sure that you are getting genuine and quality fur garments.

Pugapoo Puppy & Dog Information

The Pugapoo is a crossbreed variety of dog. This unique hybrid is the result of crossing a Poodle and a Pug, classified as an F1. Since the Pugapoo is a crossbreed, the appearance can vary, taking the square, muscular appearance of the Pug or the leaner build of the Poodle.

Pugs are intelligent and good natured dogs that enjoy the company of people and take well to training. The Poodle is very intelligent and loves to be around people. The combination of these two breeds is thought to be a good match, though it is hard to predict which characteristics will dominate.

Given the diversity of these traits, it is hard to predict which characteristics will dominate. Subsequent breedings to the F2 or F3 level can dramatically alter the appearance and temperament from the original F1.

Approxi women's jackets mate Adult Size

As with many hybrid breeds, Pugapoo size and weight will vary widely. The approximate adult size (two years old or older) of either the male or female is 6 to 14 inches at the withers. The withers are measured at the highest point of the shoulder. The weight of an adult Pugapoo could range between 8 and 18 pounds.

Special Health Considerations

Most dog breeds have certain health conditions problems associated with that specific breed. Poodles are prone to ear and eye infections, spinal problems and heart disease. Pugs have a lower incidence of health problems than most breeds. Poodles are prone to glaucoma and epilepsy. As with most hybrids and the introduction of multi-generational breeding, a full understanding of potential health issues is difficult.

This disease list is provided only as an informative guideline and your Pugapoo may not experience these conditions. Consult a veterinary professional for more comprehensive information. As with any dog, the puppy stage, 0 to 12 months of age, is the time for shots, boosters and check up. As an adult, the dog should have an annual veterinary checkup including a dental exam and cleaning. Avoid feeding your dog sweets and certain human foods. Check with a veterinary professional for advise on your dogs diet.

Pugapoo Grooming

The coat of Pugapoo will vary from the short coat of the Pug to the softer, curly coat of the Poodle. Regular brushing will help maintain a clean and healthy coat. Pugapoos may display the skin folds common to the pug and these folds must examined and cleaned on a regular basis. The process of grooming provides an opportunity to examine the dog for skin problems and strengthen the emotional bond between you and your dog.

Dental health is important and the teeth should be brushed at least twice a week with toothpaste and toothbrush designed for dogs. Brushing removes the accumulation of plaque and tartar which can cause cavities and periodontal disease. Poor canine dental hygiene can lead to pain, loss of teeth, bad breath and other serious health conditions.

The claws should be trimmed regularly and the paws examined for signs of injury.

Pugapoo Life Span

With proper nutrition, medical care and excellent living conditions, a Pugapoo should be able to live a long and healthy life. Given the hybrid nature of these dogs, an accurate prediction of life expectancy is not possible.

Pugapoo Registries

American Canine Hybrid Club

As a hybrid breed, the Pugapoo is not recognized as a breed by the American Kennel Club, Canadian Kennel Club, Continental Kennel Club or their affiliated organizations.

Pugapoo Litter Size

Litter size is said to average between 3 and 8 puppies.

These are perfect for yard work, to keep mud off your shoes, or for home renovation projects like painting. These disposable shoe covers are the same as medical professionals use to prevent contaminating rooms with germs. Service or repair professionals often use shoe covers to prevent tracking dirt into a client's home. Construction experts use them to keep construction dust contained.

Full Body Suits

To protect the entire body, there are a couple of options, from lightweight disposable coveralls to heavier plastic biohazard suits. These suits can come with or without shoe covers or hoods for head protection. Elastic cuffs ensure a secure closure that keeps contaminants out. These suits give you the convenience of full body protection without having to dress in each individual piece of protective clothing or having to worry about contaminants slipping between the pieces. Drywall installers, painters, and asbestos specialists favor this type of protecting clothing.
